A Picturesque Picnic Avec Ma Maman
Life should be romanticized. Take a moment to stop and smell the roses, indulge in picking berries that have ripened in the late summer sun, create tangible moments that feel as though they are straight out of a story book… for these are the little things, slowly gathered over the seasons, that add up to a life well lived.
There is something so lovely about taking a little bit of time and effort for yourself and for loved ones. In the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day, it is easy to overlook the beauty that surrounds us, we easily forget to pause and simply enjoy. For me, picnicking under a sprawling ancient maple tree in the summer heat, the light bathing the denim quilt that holds endless childhood memories and a spread of delicious summertime snacks to share with my mom (who has been dragged along for yet another creative adventure) is not just one more set-up arranged in a perfectly imperfect manner, but a memory to be collected and cherished for this lifetime and many more to come.
Take time to sit and savor. Share a summertime picnic with a dear friend. Pick the roses from the garden. Add the special little touches - For the seemingly simple moments are the ones that truly matter most! Xx
