The film that launched Bardot as a major international star overnight and put Saint-Tropez as the ultimate summer holiday destination. Bardot as 18 yer old Juliette, hyper-sexualized and the object of desire of all the men around her, created such a marvelous scandal at the time —Especially in America where it was dubbed ‘God Created Woman but the Devil created Brigitte Bardot!’
