March 2026 Vol. Nº28

My love for winter is undeniable and yet, my heart aches for spring. I long for daffodils, sunny and bright having just woken from their winter sleep, mornings dripped with dew and a rosy tint to evenings as days slowly become longer. I find myself wishing for moments yet to come while simultaneously torn between seasons, not quite ready to move on from the souvenirs this year has already collected.

As we step into the early days of spring and I think back on the first couple months of the year, I am struck by the passage of time. The first dinner party of the year is long behind us, a picturebook of snapshots to flip through in my daydreams like fuzzy stills from a home movie, and as we close the chapter of winter and tenderly step into spring, I long for the memories that have yet to be made. A whole year of dinner parties have yet to be imagined, a new chapter yet to bloom and a library of ideas longing to be pulled off the shelf, reimagined and shaped into something wonderful. Xx

Dreaming of Early Spring

  • Twenty Hours at Dromoland Castle. A fairytale brought to life, this 16th century castle with endless parklands and stunning woodlands was the taste of spring I so desperately needed. With elegant dining rooms and impossibly inviting decor, it seems my time there was straight out of an oil painting.

  • Moules Frites A French Bistro Inspired Evening. A dinner party inspired by the French classics that I simply cannot live without. From color blocking menu details to Julia Child’s Mousse au Chocolat, this evening is your quickest ticket to Paris.

A Silverplated Movie Night.Skip the sticky snack bar line and opt for a cozy/elegant movie night in. With piles of perfectly buttered popcorn waiting to be dusted with homemade flavors and stacks of your favorite candies, the movie du jour just got a lovely upgrade.

As spring begins to tantalize our senses, there is a craving for fresh experiences, vibrant flavors and light hearted entertaining. From rooftop happy hours to an evening designed around artistry and intrigue, Le Supper Club is waking up from a wintertime hibernation, stretching into a world budding with inspiration.

An Artist Salon Masquerade

There is a timelessness to the evening, a sense of mystery in the air as each step you take feels like a step back in time. The small hallway, aglow with candlelit sconces invites you to push aside a romantically draped satin curtain designed for your dramatic entrance. Suddenly, you are met with a room full of handcrafted masks perfectly suited for a clandestine evening, teasing you into something tantalizing, something full of wonder and intrigue. Stepping through that curtain meant that reality slipped away, you have been transported to a regency era artist salon – An antique French easel, perched in front of a draped tableau, is expertly situated and designed for an artist’s muse. Pencil sketches of inspiration haphazardly strewn about as if pieces of conversations simply drifted off, quietly settling on the table waiting to be picked up again. An after hours affair is buzzing. Dripping candles send flickering glances across an after dinner spread of sweet and savory bites and ample coupes of champagne tickle noses under feathery and bejeweled masks. Tonight, anything is possible. This is my imagination at work. A vision of a theme, impossible to ignore – This is an artist’s masquerade.

Dinner and a Movie - Roman Holiday

Dinner and a movie has always felt like a cliché date night recipe meant for the couples who have given up on romance, and yet… I still adore the concept. Dinner and a movie is a classic pairing for a reason, it has just gotten a little lazy. The imagination around this duo has simply been lost. What happened to dressing up for a night at the movies? What about picking a restaurant that pairs with the theme of the film? Seeing a French film… why not go to a wine bar afterwards to chat about what you loved most over wine and cheese? A movie set in the 50’s, please tell me you've hunted down a retro diner for burgers and milkshakes! In a world where seeing a movie often only requires scrolling through a streaming service until something decent pops up, I challenge you to make movie going intentional again. Bring back the romance and magic of watching a film.

A Golden Hour Martini - The Best Bar in Los Angeles, My Rooftop

Home is where the heart is. And where the best martinis are made. These days, going out simply does not have the same appeal as it once did. I still love the occasional girls night out, or a splurge on a fancy dinner, but when it comes right down to it, I have become more than a homebody, I have become somewhat of a hosting recluse. I long for nights that feel curated and yet authentic. A space where you forget where you last set your phone down and the need to check your texts fades from your subconscious – the night, this night, is the only dopamine you need. In all honesty, the scene-y impossible to get reservations and the dimly lit who's-who spots rarely do it for me anymore. I need more. I need thought provoking experiences and nights that inspire me. Going out these days has kind of failed me.

Jelly ‘cakes’…the cutest dinner guest.

Blue Champagne Jelly ‘Cakes’

  • 360 ml cups champagne or prosecco – divided

  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice

  • 60 ml ‘Nuka Cola Quantum Sour Blue Lemonade By Jones Soda Co’ – any blue (or colored) soda would work

  • 30 grams granulated sugar

  • 18 grams unflavored powdered gelatin

  • 120 ml vodka

  • 6 cavity canelé mold

In a sauce pan, pour in half of your champagne and sugar and sprinkle the gelatin on top. Whisk together and allow the gelatin to bloom. Over medium heat, warm the mixture until the gelatin and sugar have dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Once cool, add in the remaining champagne, lemon juice, blue soda and stir together. Pour into your canelé molds and carefully place in the refrigerator. Allow to chill overnight.

To remove, carefully dip the bottom of the mould into warm water and allow to sit for about 30 seconds to release the jelly ‘cakes’. Carefully tip out and dust in edible luster dust if you would like that glittery effect. Serve chilled.
